Blancpain Air Command Flyback Chrono
I was at my AD and my salesperson was wearing this Blancpain Air Command Flyback Chrono (ref: 2285F-113071) which flashes me. I really liked this watch because it looks quite special and you do not see it often on a wrist. The bezel is really cool, the size with 40mm perfect, bracelet is one of the best in the market and it is a flyback chronograph. The movement is excellent (sucessor of the famous 1185 caliber by Frederic Pighe that e.g. was used by AP and co im the 90s).
I searched a little and found a local seller who would sell it to me for a decent price with Box and Papers (crazy how low the prices are for Blancpain watches expect the fifty fathoms). I'm not sure to pull the trigger. Maybe the feeling that it is too of a mix-up with the combination of diver and chronograph and that makes the watch almost overcrowded. At the same time it makes this watch quite unique.
A more subtile option would be Blancpain Leman Fly Chronograph which is more classic but still special with the military-inspired dial. The watch is also thinner with 12.5mm compared to the 13.3mm of the Air Command and smaller with 38mm compared to the 40mm of the Air Command. It would be about 1'000$ more expensive in same condition and also box and paper. I tried it also on but with a leather strap (at the AD). The listing would be with steel bracelet as in the picture below.
This below is the one I tried on but it is the sucessor with 40mm and big date but the quintessence is the same ( I like the 38mm version more).
So watch-crunchers what do you think about my dilemma? What would you do? Let me know in the pool and the comments. Would be happy to know your expert-opinion!

6 People do not agree with you hahaha I mean I could save for the Rolex at the AD. But I mean getting a full set Blancpain Air Command Flybsck Chrono for $3500 is quite a deal.
Go with your guy and what you ultimately decide you really want. Also factor in what is in your collection this far and what your thinking of brining into you collection in the future. But if you’re asking me my choice is I would say the Leman strictly on esthetics
I recently got myself a diver chronograph from Norqain and love it.
The dial is very busy, not helped by the patern and Day/Date complication, and I love it. So I wouldn’t worry too much about that, and would simply say go for what you like most and that seems to be the Air Command Flyback.

Honestyl my collection is pretty wild and unstructured. I like a lot of watches and do spontaneous purchases. Blue dial is missing for sure. I have also already 3 watches with white dial so no more white dials. I have chronos, diver, gmt, vintage, new. Maybe you can watch my old post where I presente my collection. I have a list of watches that I like but it grows exponentially hahaha I see your point that the leman looks clearer and more structured. Both are great choiches but the budget is only fore one there. I could also save the money and wait but theses watches are quite rar to find as not much were sold. And both prices are excellent for what you get.

Nice watch! Yeah this might be true. I think I may need to try on the Leman on the bracelet first to evaluate the situation better.

Voted don't buy anything. If Air command would have a nicer bezel it would be a winner. But that bezel imo is one of the ugliest/busy bezels around
