What I perhaps love most about this story is that when I’ve read discussions of watches well outside my arbitrary price limits I’ve found myself thinking, “Wow! For that money I could have a pretty nice motorcycle.” 😉

Awesome! Congrats! My wife and I both love watches but we love motorcycles even more. In fact motorcycles is by far and away one of the most important hobby/past time in our relationship. Motorcycles give us a strong shared interest to talk about all the time. We go long rides together very frequently, and have comms systems to easily be able to communicate. It allows a lot of dedicated together time. We go camping on the bikes. We go on long road trips across the country on the bikes. We see and do so many special things together because of the bikes.
Good man, happy wife indeed always a bonus! Make sure you mention the sacrifice you made when out riding together!
