Yeah, this is a problem for all of us. It happens to me a lot when I'm trying to take a wrist shot, especially with my iPhone. The main thing is you need to watch out for it and then move around to get an angle where it isn't in the shot. Vu said you could get a piece of black construction paper + cardboard, glue them together, and cut a hole right in the middle – then shoot through that. This is a way you can make sure there's no reflection.
