Watch Photography in Iceland

My partner and I recently started a youtube channel about watch photography and I wanted to share it here.

Do you like taking watch photos on location too?

My wife doesn’t let me take pictures but I really enjoyed the video.  😜

Have to admit that I felt a little anxious while watching, worried that your beautiful Rolex was going to slide off the ice or get snatched up by a gull while you were taking photos or standing around talking about shot composition. 😂

Signed on & subbed. Best of luck!

well done, I came for the tips and stayed for the enthusiasm.

Cool videos and photos! Looking forward to seeing more on the channel. One struggle I have is that sometimes I find that glare on the crystal turns my shots into bad selfies (photo for reference). Do you have any advice on avoiding this?

If I ever get to go to a location again, I’m sure I will. 😂

Really liked your previous video, by the way. Who knew that just turning down your exposure a little would make so much difference? 🤷‍♂️

Great photography tips, no matter what the subject matter.

On the other hand, when I was visiting Iceland, I just wanted to photograph the scenery.

Haha!

Yeah, I am definitely a bad watch owner – luckily there were no gulls around though!

Thank you!

Yeah, this is a problem for all of us. It happens to me a lot when I'm trying to take a wrist shot, especially with my iPhone. The main thing is you need to watch out for it and then move around to get an angle where it isn't in the shot. Vu said you could get a piece of black construction paper + cardboard, glue them together, and cut a hole right in the middle – then shoot through that. This is a way you can make sure there's no reflection.

Yeah, we have some funny videos where I'm shooting down at my feet next to beautiful waterfalls... 😂

Thanks for the tips! Will be keeping these in mind

Congrats on the channel! I do like the fact your shots are not the standard watch shots and you're not afraid of colours and textures not usually shot with watches.

@Jaypiddy Thank you so much!
