I’m not sure what the question is. These are two completely different watches that are in two different price ranges. It’s apples to oranges (other than a blue dial)
Clearly if all things are equal…price being the main factor, you take the Rolex…it will hold value and there is worth in the 18k gold

"Price", "Value", "Hold value" and "18K gold" are all variables that a true WIS couldn't care less about. The questions is indeed to look beyond the aforementioned variables, and go for the watch your heart (ake wrist) desire. 😉 The watches are not as "completely different" as you might think. They both tell time, are mechanical and can be worn on the wrist.
Blue and gold doesn't work for me (I don't know why ?!?) But the blue and silver looks great. As for the brand name, I'll take a Tudor over a Rolex any day😉
