I’ve not seen a Certina boutique in the U.S., only in online stores. Found one today in Slovenia and had fun trying some on, as well as a lively watch conversation with the sales associate. A fun way to start the day!
It's a good brand; vintage Certina (which I collect) is 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 in Northern Europe / Scandinavia and the modern offerings are big in Central Europe. As a brand it's a bit patchy tbh; a lot of their recent releases are a little 'mall watch' imo; the gold is in their heritage releases (DS PH200 & 500m, Heritage Chronograph, DS-2 & DS-2 Chronolympic ect). The quality V's price is exceptional.
The DS Action looks like a solid diver - yet to see one in the metal. They're like rocking-horse shite in Australia ... hard to find. 😊
Their vintage pieces are on par with vint. Omega, Longines etc., especially the DS series, great in-house movements and the KF cases are exquisite too.
The original DS is one of 𝘵𝘩𝘦 great sports watches imho. ✌🏼️

A seriously underrepresented brand in the US!

Absolutely true… tried on this gorgeous DS Action diver while I was in there… the dial had me 😳

They are purposely not marketed here by Swatch Group, probably to prop up Tissot sales.
In the Netherlands Certina is easily available. In my area (within 15 kilometers) there are at least 5 ADs who sell certina.
I find it very fascinating that brands are so regional bound.
I will be adding a Certina to my collection at some point. What a treat to find a dealer! 👍

I’ll be watching JomaShop like a hawk now… nicer than Tissot and falls just short of Longines. The 39mm diver fits awesome!
