Journey to Consolidation - Chapter 3

Casio G-Shock 2100 series (CasiOak)

Missed the initial Casioak hype when the original

Black GA-2100 was first release. They were trading above retail and sometimes double during the onset of the pandemic, crazy times I guess with the lockdowns and all. Gotten into the 2100s just last year.

GM-S2100B-8A

This watch represented my first foray into the 2100 series. Was afraid about the 45mm diameter of the original GA-2100s, so I picked this one up. Liked the metal grey theme of the watch. Very sleek loving with the metal covered bezel and clean looking resin strap.

GA-2110ET-2A

Finally gave in to this watch, I was surprised that its size didn't overwhelm my wrist, thanks to its short lug to lug size. Tried to be different with the other GA-2100s I see on the streets, with the awesome two-tone case.

GA-B2100-2A

Got this updated resin 2100 when they were first released. The absence of the multiband 6 did not bothered me. Also bought metal kits in black and silver from AliExpress to look like their full metal counterparts.

GM-B2100BD-1A

I waited for prices to drop on the full metal 2100s before getting this (I noticed the demand wasn't crazy like when the GMW-B5000s were first released) Sold off my other 2100s as well. No regrets here, the DLC screw-down caseback won me over. Like how it feels on my wrist.

This watch can be easily be worn for formal and casual situations, a very versatile watch. Loved how the hour indices shine under direct light, the embossed G-Shock logo on the dial, and the tough ion plating. No more going back to resin G-Shocks for me.
