I wear my ALS Grand Langematik in platinum when I shoot guns. I daily wear it and never get it wet when I wash my hands. I sweat profusely sometimes and don’t worry about how long the leather strap will last. When I need to replace it, I’ll know that I’ve made good use of it.
There’s a watch group at work; we’ve had somewhat regular meetups pre-2020. I’m also part of a private chat group consisting of watch enthusiasts in my area. We just did a meetup the other day. Everyone’s cool and no one’s an asshole. There were watches from Seiko, vintage fliegers, vintage and modern Rolex, ALS, Patek, and some independents. Really fun.
