I wear my ALS Grand Langematik in platinum when I shoot guns. I daily wear it and never get it wet when I wash my hands. I sweat profusely sometimes and don’t worry about how long the leather strap will last. When I need to replace it, I’ll know that I’ve made good use of it.

There’s a watch group at work; we’ve had somewhat regular meetups pre-2020. I’m also part of a private chat group consisting of watch enthusiasts in my area. We just did a meetup the other day. Everyone’s cool and no one’s an asshole. There were watches from Seiko, vintage fliegers, vintage and modern Rolex, ALS, Patek, and some independents. Really fun.

I work an office job and am currently working remotely. In the office, I’d wear “smart casual” or business casual attire. I love dress watches, and the following would be my choices:

As for myself, I rock an A. Lange & Söhne Grand Langematik in platinum, which features an “outsize date”, small seconds, and micro rotor (or rather, “three-quarter rotor”).

The Cartier Tank Must SolarBeat is a beater, as well as any watch that has a jumping seconds complication, for that matter.

And any watch that has a heart rate monitor built into it is a beatee.

Gold is less ostentatious than stainless steel; change my mind😤

But seriously, it’s underrated and you’re just buying and wearing what you like. I want to add a YG piece on a bracelet to my collection.
