Poop or Scoop: G-Shock edition

I don't know why, i just dont like wearing g-shocks anymore.

I loved them as a kid, and in middle school we all had them. Basically if you didnt have a g-shock you weren't cool lol. We would all set our watch alarms to the exact time lunch started so that at the end of 5th period all of our watches would beep at the same time and we would race to the cafeteria to be first in line for lunch. I have a lot of memories with my gshock, but for some reason i dislike them now. Theyre a bit bulky for my taste, and aside from maybe the casioak, I'm not sure if I'd ever buy one again.

Do you like g-shocks? If so, what is your favorite model, and why?

Love them. Not really much else to say haha. Versatile, near indestructible, and overall just cool.

The 5600 is the smallest and still a large watch. The rest are like wearing a hockey puck on your wrist. They are light but very uncomfortable.

Never been a fan, still don’t understand the appeal. But I guess that’s what’s great about this hobby, we don’t all have to have the same opinions.

I have one and I love it. It is model GW-M5610U. It is versatile and it is the watch that I will wear if there is a risk of damaging my mechanical watches. This particular model recharges itself and sync with the atomic clock so it also serves as my time reference to adjust my mechanical watches.

If it would break today, I would buy another one tomorrow.

Older Frogman models are my favorite even though I have never owner any.. The DW5900 is just too funky and cool

I like maybe 2 or 3 and own a GA2100-1A (a CasiOak). Nice to have as one to throw on in a hurry and not give a second thought to. Part of the popularity is the accessibility. Mass produced for the most part and inexpensive. I may pick up another at some point...

I'm finding the older I get the more I appreciate a light comfortable watch. Still wear my slim plastic Casioak but have all but retired the steel one.

True true, definitely makes it essier than maybe having to wind your watch, or set it. You can just grab it and go, and they go with pretty much anything

In the past I've had to do some searching for a watch to wear to do my physical activities, like hiking, running, or swimming, and i settled on a black rubber strap casio for its comfortablility, and slim design. G shocks are extremely comfortable as well, and also very practical for pretty much any physical activity/situation, but the bulk and size have turned me away, as opposed to other casio models

I would say they are bulky, and yet very comfortable.

G-Shocks are infinitely useful tool watches.
