Or has Seiko mucked up the black dial version, the blue clashes with the checkerd bezel, would look so much cooler keeping it all black/ white. The blue dial version looks good.
That bezel is a mess. The numbers are hiding behind the checkered pattern, this so way to hard to read at a glance. I am digging the hands on the black one, but not the choice of color and the bezel.

The whole thing is far too busy for my liking, but you're right, the blue is the easiest on the eye.
