Totally agree, the large is better proportioned for most people. The XL is so large you need not just big wrists but really flat wrists to make it work. Plus I think a tank shouldn’t have a date window.

Great comments all, lots to think of. I was already thinking G-Shock for a cheaper beater that I can wear when I don't want to wear these two, and color and another type of strap or band is also good point. Was thinking maybe a Nomos Club Campus.
