Modello Uno vs. Modello Quattro

With the Euro and USD sitting close to equal, it’s a better deal to buy direct from some European micro brands than go through Hodinkee / other channels. Looking for opinions from the Watch Crunch community on two Unimatic watches. I have been looking for a reason to get into natos and other straps without risking damage to the watches in my collection (Tudor black bay 58, Tudor black bay gmt, tag heuer aquaracer). From the brand: Modello Uno Classic ref. UC-1 is the Made in Italy professional diving watch. https://www.unimaticwatches.com/uc1/ Modello Quattro Classic ref. UC-4 is the Made in Italy military watch. https://www.unimaticwatches.com/uc4/

I love that unmarked timing bezel on the U1. ❤️

I have the Quattro - saw them both first and loved the unusual look, very simple, very robust and has become my preferred travel watch - perfect for beach and pool with a rubber NATO and of course lots of other strap options. Very nicely made, sure you will love it.

What pushed you toward the quattro vs the uno? Drilled lugs?

Unimatic watches are definitely lookers. Very clean design language.

I go back and forth on the unmarked timing bezel. Timing bezels are definitely my most used watch function. Much more useful than I ever imagined before having a dive watch.

I could go up to a specialty model but ~$500 for a marked timing bezel, possible date display, and a SW200 movement is a little crazy.

The reason I like a simple bezel is that I’ve used them in life-saving situations before, and all I ever needed was the pip, no distractions.  Plus it looks a little evil.

I need to hear more about this!

Purely the appearance, I always planned to use it with a NATO, so drilled lugs weren’t a big deal - it looks very different to anything else,   I like the uniqueness - I actually like that it has received such a small minority of votes on this thread!

Let’s just say running a library isn’t all patron complaints and timesheets.

A big thank you to everyone who voted and commented. NWA coming soon.
