Looking for other watches still being made that have this trapezoid style date wheel. Kind of hard to find and not sure what to search online for to find results so thought id consult the experts!
No suggestions on others - although I own a Tangente datum and have owned the Jazzmaster in the past.
What attracts you to the trapezoid? I like the way that the trapezoid on the Tangente lines up with where the “29” and “31” minute markers would be. The “30” marker is then indicated by a line drawn from the 30 on the small seconds dial immediately above. In this way Nomos has preserved the markers for 29 to 31, which are otherwise obscured by the date window.
This is a good example of how to use a big case and a wrong size date wheel. It is not enough to put a 26 mm movement in a 40+mm case and hope that noone wiil see the cornercut.
The Vaer A3 Atlas Auto 36mm has been on my list for a while. I don’t normally go for dates, but located at 6 and with the trapezoid shape window I think works rather nicely. Plus the red seconds hand really pops against the dark blue 😎

I have two - one of my more recent (the CW) and one I bought decades ago ( UG):
One of my favorite date wheels is this one. At the 3 o'clock position.
Lorca Model no. 1 GMT, which has the trapezoidal date window and a lot of other nice vintage design cues.
Breguet uses them in a few of their designs. Namely the 5177 classique and 5517 Marine. Here’s my 5517

I was going to suggest this, but you beat me to it 😁🥂

I don't like dates, but the one you have pictured here looks great. The six o'clock location always works.
