For watch lovers, Tokyo is paradise. I also acquired this DJ when I was there last week (my U.S. local AD has been trying to acquire this model for me for almost two years to no avail)

GMT watch such as the popular Rolex GMT can tell time up to 3 time zones plus serves as a compass:
It's easy with the Rolex GMT Master or Explorer II: Point the “normal” hour hand at the sun. The 24-hour hand is then the compass needle and points exactly north (if the location is in the north hemisphere; otherwise the pointer points south).

The widespread of knockoff Rolexes allegedly made the brand an undisputed market leader in luxury watch brand for the masses globally.
Feels like Swatch is using branded knockoff to broad consumer awareness of its luxury watch brands. If only 5% of the plastic Omega / Blancpain + Swatch buyers later have the disposable income to buy the real thing in metal, it is a wining strategy…
There are only two watch companies which have the capability to make every thing on a watch in house in the world: Seiko and Rolex. Even these two choose not to make everything in house.
All others including PP, AP, VC etc are sourcing parts from outside suppliers. Among these suppliers many produce components in Asia or in other European countries.
It is part of globalization, part of cost / benefit realities of a business. Get over it.
