This is Bulova Ambassador was seen in person from a flea market seller. I don't know anything about the reputation of the seller nor did they have much information on the history of the watch. I havn't been able to find this particular watch online or through google image search.
Two questions:
How should someone think about appraising used watches in general in spaces like flea markets where watch information/history is typically limited?
What would be a reasonable price for a watch like this given the limited information available?

I love flea markets but I think it's insane to spend any kind of real money there unless you are an expert on the model you're buying. The sellers have basically no accountability. I love Seikos but I have turned down good deals on 6139s because - what happens if I get it home and it's a Frankenwatch? What if it breaks? Do I show up next month and hope the guy has a booth again?
tldr: if you can get it at an amount you won't mind potentially getting burned on, go for it. Otherwise go through a route that has more accountability. Or don't! Life is short.
