I was really liking the new white dial Speedy, but seeing them side by side makes me like it a bit less. At a quick glance, the Daytona looks better to me, with the Speedy looking too sparse, almost as if something is missing. As much as I like the look of the Daytona, the contrasting sub dials hamper the quick visibility of the time, so I still feel that the Speedy is the more practical option.

I kind of agree with you, and I don't even like the Daytona that much. I think the white-dialed Speedmasters of the past, like the Tokyo Olympic editions, were actually much nicer looking. I'm less impressed by the new version than I was initially.
