Grey/silvery leather would be nice. It would make the blue dial pop out.

I think brown and blue pair nicely. I'm brown and the majority of my watches are blue.
Very light brown color, like tan leather or sand color.
I would try first with NATO to see what works the best in reality, and then eventually order a bespoke leather strap in the chosen color.
