Rolex and Patek Prices Fall as Subdial Index Nears Two-Year Low

Good news? Bad news? How much further will they go?

I see that other gauge of an economy - classic cars - are also taking an equivalent hit.

It is not surprising that the index is falling. Super low interest rates, Fed money printing, and stimulus checks all led to the Covid bubble in stocks, crypto and then watches. Easy money. Silly money. Rising interest rates spelled an end to all that, as expected. Macro economics 101.

Still, I suspect much of the overall decrease in the index is due to a fall in the few most pumped up models. Median prices for "quality" brands may still go up.

The price drop as I never view them as investments. If there's money parked 8n them then that's fine, but I don't recognise them as an asset.

Good! Glad to hear it, now maybe I’ll get my Rolex sooner.

I met my Rolex grail the other day, 36mm Explorer.

It was a case of never meet your heroes.
