Which watch should I get?

Hey guys, looking to buy my first “expensive” (to me) watch. I’m torn between these two, as they’re both beautiful! Would be looking for second hand purchase, where do you guys prefer to get watches when you get them second hand?

I'm happy to go with eBay but I'm not too experienced in buying expensive used watches.

I would’ve said the Spirit 37 until I tried it on. Lugs are too long. So the Sea Master gets my vote.

Ebay and Chrono24. Just look out for a good seller / grey dealer with best ratings. Those Seamasters can be found in Japan from various dealers. Depending on where you live, of course tax will be added but you won‘t be disappointed. Often you find in their description a „worn“ watch that is in reality in mint condition. For the Longines I think you can get it also directly from a private seller. As the watch is a modern one, it should be in good shape normally and of course for that one, demand for box and papers. For the Seamaster, box and papers will probably offered only on few listings.

Good to know! I haven’t even looked at the lug to lug length

Lug to lug: the silent killer lol. It’s the one measurement that kills some options for me. The Spirit and Nomos are recent examples

All my Omega's came from eBay UK.

Be patient, get a great deal 👍🏻👍🏻

What would you consider a good deal these days? They seem to go for $1600-$2200 USD

That's about right, I'm in UK so here around £1000 upwards for a quartz, £1400 up for an automatic.

Good luck mate 🍀
