The training continues! By popular demand, it's the Overseas today. I feel I am slowly learning and getting better at this photography thing, and this watch is so rewarding when you get good pictures. Just look at it: Mesmerizing dial, excellent finishing all around, and an amazing design ๐
Based on previous advice, I tried to improve the following today:
Angles. In particular the flatlay, where @DanTheo82 provided me with lots of useful tips, and...
Composition. I basically stole Dan's idea for the flatlay. I think his tip about either going for a clean shot or a casual look (i.e. don't try both at once) was really useful.
I got a few photography gadgets for Christmas, notably lights and soft boxes. Some parts were missing in the package (frustratingly), but with some DYI fixing I got some or it working at least. Taking pictures really is mainly about playing with the light, and manipulating it to do what you want. I'm not a natural at this, but it feels like my understanding is evolving.

Thank you!
Amazing work! Very impressive shots. I think I will look at some lighting in the new year too. Thanks for sharing, always an enjoyment to see your progress ๐
Thank you! I find that these types of compositions are the ones that feel the most natural to me. Still a long way to go, but a flatlay still feels incredibly awkward to set up, whereas with these I at least have some sort of idea of where I want to go.

Thanks a lot! Can't wait to see ๐ค๐ค๐ค
Yeah, good point. Thanks ๐
Nice shots fam
I think the second is my favorite of the three. All good compositions. The first is very strong too - my only comment being that it would be helped if you could remove the reflections (mostly the color) on the bottom part of the braceletโฆ which I know is difficult but Iโd play with different methods to shield yourself when shooting. Great work all around! ๐

Thanks a lot! Good tip about the reflection on the bracelet. I suppose wearing black would help a bit.
Oh boy. For me the wait was worth the time. Not only have you become proficient in arranging the pieces but the clarity of the design and colors are outstanding. I especially love how you were able to capture that blue dial in all its glory. As always thank you so much for sharing and do I ever look forward to your next post. Think this one will still be my favorite.
