Adventures in Watch Making #2

Today is my first time wearing this cool Seiko 7015-8000 from October 74. Had to order a few parts, broke the replacement crystal, and a donor movement was needed but here it is. I saw it sitting on eBay neglected and needing some love and care. I still have to get a new gasket on the caseback, replace the day wheel since it’s out of wack, and maybe polish up the case a bit. As you can see by the before and after there’s a big difference, mainly that it keeps great time (+2 seconds a day. The cool green dial really spoke to me along with the cool case shape. Turns out is a bit small for me but I think it may grow on me. Best thing is that it’s all original and I did the overhaul myself.
