IMHO, this 50-year-old design stands up to any of the chronographs in Omega's current catalog, which strike me as either too austere or too overtly retro. The 38mm size, the color palette, and the layout are completely contemporary and it's amazing how many complications (central seconds and minutes chrono hands, chrono hour-counter subdial, dual 24-hour indicator & running seconds subdial, date window), were crammed into a movement this thin and a dial this legible. Really masterful design.
