Seiko spring bars

I got a couple of waffle straps with quick release spring bars which are not fat boys.

There is some wiggle but seems secure. Anyone know if these are okay or are fat boys always required?

I would always use the correct size and width spring bar. It just doesn't seem worth cutting corners there. Especially if it wiggles, that alone would annoy me.

Ask yourself this, if for whatever reason the spring bars do fail and the watch gets damaged or lost: How hard would you be kicking yourself not knowing whether it could have been prevented by spending 5€ on a few spring bars of the right size.

It's all good until it isn't 😉

Cheers, I have the fat boys, just need to get the quick release out and see if the fats fit 👍🏻

The big difference with the fat/skinny springbars found in Seiko divers is the way the shoulders fit. So even if you have the correct width spring bar, using non fat/skinny might not be as secure.

Nope!!

You want "skinny fat bars" from eBay, reason being that the slightly smaller ends will rattle around in the lug holes and cause wear over time , meaning that when you put proper Seiko fat bars in again they'll rattle & you won't get a snug fit ever again.
