Fake Casio watch turned into a DIY, Lego desk clock

I got what appears to be a fake Casio B640 off eBay. So I decided to have some fun with it. I took out the movement? Module? I took out the insides, and found some small magnification boxes on Amazon that it fits inside almost perfectly. Last night I rummaged around in the bins of old Lego pieces my son never uses anymore, and cobbled together a little stand for it.

It actually turned out way better than I expected. It's propped up at the perfect angle now, and is very legible thanks to the magnifier. It looks like a little CRT computer monitor. The magnification cube friction fits right into the stand like it was designed for it. I think it turned out pretty cool looking, and works great as a little desk clock.

And the watch case and strap was turned into another fun project. The Casio CYP...
