Interesting Sundial
I saw someone else post a sundial and this is an interesting one in downtown Kansas City I saw a few days ago. It's on the Poindexter building on the corner of 9th and Broadway if you live in the area. The cameraperson is facing north so it's 12:45

Wall faces south. I like that they addressed the Daylight Saving Time issue. It would be better if that annoyance was dropped, but at least they didn't let this evil fake time ruin sundials for everyone.

Seen that one. Very familiar with the KC area, wife's hometown and I was stationed out in Knob Noster for a bit!
Dryden and Raven, two pretty solid microbrands call the greater KC area home btws!

There seems to be some missing numbers on the dial. Guess no one needs to the time at certain times of day. Unless the markers fell off like on cheap AliEx watches. What’s the return policy on that🤣

That handset finishing is atrocious for the price point. Forget acrylic or sapphire…there’s no glass at all. The faux patina is awful 🤣😂

I took this macro shot of the minute hand and frankly that's unacceptable for this price point.

It only works from dawn till dusk, and it's downtown so no point in displaying outside of normal business hours. Plus tall buildings probably block the light on the first and last hour or two.

Alignment issues reminds me of a sundial on my college campus that was installed by workmen during the summer…on Daylight Savings Time.
I’m sure some landscape worker just glanced at his watch and set it in the concrete to match.
(Best part is it’s a school of engineering and science…)
