King Frederik 10 wrist watch

Hello community! Yesterday was King Frederik coronation in Denmark. Historic day! does anyone has a good eye to see what watch he was wearing? it had a leather bracelet and looked a big chunky dive watch. I'm thinking a Panerai, but totally unsure

well, I got the King's watch then 🙂

It's a taupe NATO 😬"Interesting" choice given the rest of the outfit in my eyes. But beware critising the aesthetics of it - according to some on WC because it's a military watch linked to the unit he served in, all style considerations must go out of the window.

All hail the NATO plus full dress uniformed king!

I still firmly believe it was a statement or aesthetic posture.

I see your point on the aesthetic, I do. I just think it was a subtle message to the type of figurehead he is choosing to be. Or maybe a nod to his martial prowess. Denmark is in the neighborhood of what is happening between Russia and the Ukraine.

Although on this side of the pond, I have seen a great deal of peeps in ceremonial or mess dress uniforms rocking issued timepieces on NATO's, even seen a few G Shocks, Suuntos, and Protreks.

Technically still a uniform and it is issued kit.

Or the new King doesn't give a wet fart about what anyone thinks and will do what he wants. 😂

Well, a tooly watch on a NATO would perfectly fit a King with military credentials when dressed to be in the field with the troops.

In full regalia, wearing such a piece is a clear faux pas. A King does not wear a watch on coronation day, because time does not matter

He can wear whatever he wants and send whatever message he wants. Unlike in Russia.

And anyone in Denmark or the West is free to dislike his choice of taupe NATO plus 19th century full dress uniform. Unlike in Russia.

Thank goodness for democracy, the NATO alliance, freedom of speech and those who defend it.

Agreed.

Altho to play a lil devil's advocate, you'd think his valet, or supply NCO, would hook him up with a different color tho...🤏🏻👀😅😝😬

Hahahahaha
