Birth year AND month timepiece!
you know when you're having a bad day, bad enough that you need to buy something to make you feel better?
I was scrolling down a local used goods website, found this, ran the serial number through a couple of websites, and lo and behold it matches my birth year and month and I'll assume same day too!
Its an unworn Seiko Galaxy model, made in December 1984.

Very nice and a seiko as well to top if off I love it. Birth year watches can be very fun yo finally find and add to the collection. Mine was extra special because we where both born the same year so I combines a his and hers birth year watch.
Wonderful watch. Wondering what symbol is it on the 12 o clock. Gold case with black leather always works so well. Lucky too getting such a beautiful birth year watch!
I'm not sure when the whole birth year watch became a thing, but I'm glad it did. Got a birth year skx with beautiful patina a few years ago. It's old, like me, and it's worn, like me but I love it.
The second hand slipped off a while back, it doesn't have amazing power reserve, its dinged and scratched but it keeps good time and I love looking at it and wearing it. '77 was a great year for music, watches and newborns.

I have no idea if it's a thing. But since I'm nearing 40, I've been collecting things that matter to me that were made in '84.

That logo belongs now to Credor, a Seiko line that became a high end watch brand. At least that's my understanding of Credor.
