So this just happened. Was looking for my Timex watch in my cupboard but can’t find it.
Until…
I heard the loud loud tick courtesy of my Timex Weekender. So I got all my quartz watches out of my cupboard and listen closely. And voila! I found my Timex Weekender, sitting there, at the cranny beside my drawer. Dusty, but very much alive.
So I can vouch for it: loud ticking? Not a bug, it’s a feature.

I'm reading this and all I'm thinking "see, this guy gets it" 🤣
I love the ticking
Great story! 😎
Not all Timex watches are loud tickers BTW ... the older, resin cased Expeditions seem to be the worst. The newer ones, especially those with the metal cases, not so much. And the Q's are pretty silent actually! 👍
My experience with Timex I've had some that were loud like my Harborcoast dive style watch. My others are Q variants and the M79 which all tick pretty quietly.

See..for around 6 years, this very watch is my one watch collection

Interestingly, mine is metal. Can’t imagine how loud the resin ones! 😂

purchased in 2009 ... has literally been to the opposite side of the globe and back twice and has criss-crossed Canada several times! Has taken a licking and is still ticking ... loudly! LOL!

Am sure you could find one for sale (pre-owned) online? It really is a great little watch! 👍
You hear that Timex ticking? That's the sound of AMERICA! Thunder-ticking in your cupboard.
