Yay or Nay? Sugess Enamel Dial Seagull ST8230 Tourbillon Movement

This video is old now, but what does everyone think of this Chinese watch? Does anyone have hands on experience of one of these? At its price point, I’m intrigued… it might end up on a to-buy list some day.

I have a similar Sugess Tourbillion and I adore this watch.  While all of Switzerland were sitting around in a circle wanking, The Chinese company Sea-Gull made this really nice, really affordable tourbillion movement so that poor watch enthusiasts like me could own one.  The cheapest Swiss tourbillion at the time when I was shopping for one was $10,000.00 but not long after @celinesimon alerted me to a a Swiss tourbillion at about half that price.  I really like the Breguet hands and numerals on the watch you selected but I am not willing to give up the retrogrades on mine.

China manufacturing is such that it can produce anything and everything you want as long as you are willing to pay for it.

There are many manufacturers of high end products, such as audio Hi-Fi equipment, that moved large parts of their production to China and the rest of the South West Far-East so I'm not surprised to see that their factories can also produce more complex watch movements, even if it's still not on the same level of complexity and details as their Swiss counterparts.

I have an Aesop tourbillon with a nearly identical movement, and it's been going strong with about +8 seconds a day for over a year now. Tourbillons aren't as complicated as people make them out to be, and whilst a little frail, are worth it to me.
