Very common in Outlet Malls. people get a museum piece for $300 and think they are getting a deal. Good or bad, many consider them a luxury watch and for many of us, they are an entry to the hobby.

As one of my old marketing professor said back in the days, "Perception is reality". If people continue to believe, and their watch cases' finish maintained integrity, no harm done. I even went in to take a peek. I confess I bought a simple Movado dress piece during my last year in college and got a job selling internet media ad space and brokering traditional media space. I still have that Movado. By the way, this location had about 7-8 pieces that are automatic. Rest are quartz happily tick...tick...ticking away.
Indeed, yet one has to marvel at the outlet mall, as its value proposition is a contradiction in itself, more or less the brick and mortar version of affordable luxury.
Wow.... not ever a brand I cared about but interesting.
