Roadtrip Vaca with Mido Pat
It's been 5 years since our roaming of CA's magical 395 road this last week. 5 years ago, our beloved Boy took one of his last roadtrips on this route because he was going after being diagnosed with Mass Cell Tumor cancer. He's pic with serene waters of Mono Lake in the background. He passed last year early April. This year we returned without him (but with him constantly in mind) but with my Mido Patrimony acquired this year early May. But the twist is I'M the one that was diagnosed and thus far surviving stage 3 cancer this visit.
As much as I like the blue of the dial, it pales in comparison with the backgrounds. Kept it on even during sleep throughout most of the trip, including kayaking to the middle of Lake Tahoe, 6 mile hiking to Rainbow Falls via Devil's Postpile, trekking 4 miles to a isolated Parker Lake.
Who knows? Maybe I'll be back there 5 years from now when I'm finally declared cancer-free? And with another new watch to celebrate and a another pup.
