First Vintage piece

So, I was researching vintage Omegas for a month.

Found a beautiful Omega De Ville in Chrono24 from a Swiss dealer who has watches fully serviced, 12 months gurantee and in great condition.

I made an offer, was accepted - and then the apology came that it was sold just seconds before on another site.

As I was exited now I was that much disappointed.

But I wanted to buy from this dealer cause he had a rearly good service on the site.

Looked at his other offerings and found a few King Seikos and Lord Marvels.

Then I spent about 10h researching King Seiko, Taro Tanaka, Grammar of design etc. and was fascinated.

So I picked up this beautiful KS56, date function, automatic with manual winding, hacking and date complication.

36,5mm.

Medallion in perfect shape.

Almost no signs of ware.

Unpolished.

Everything on it except the strap is full original.

It came an hour ago with FedEx. Ordered it on Friday.

It’s beautiful! What do you guys think?

Congratulations!

It is a great find, the watch looks to be in perfect condition. October 1969 as per the serial number! My 5626-7110 is from 1971.

This case shape is my favorite from that time the grammar of Design was in full swing. The flat, sharp lugs and the case profile are superb.

Agree, when you remove the band it looks like a little stealth spacecraft!
