A few days ago, a grey market dealer came up with an ad selling this watch. And holy Fett I can’t believe I just found out about this!
Apparently has been out for months now, it’s an automatic movement with a jump hour. I repeat, A JUMP HOUR! Who would’ve thought a brand like Fossil going with a movement and dial like this. Limited to 1983 pieces if I’m not mistaken, it really is just aimed at Star Wars fans. But the packaging and even graphics on the case back to me are spot on. Even when you open the box, there are sounds from the movie heard upon opening. Also comes with a certificate of authenticity for those who like that.
The finish is made to look battered and a bit comical, as well as the strap so it isn’t the most versatile. Also the sizing at 43mm and a thickness of 15mm it is quite hefty. Might not fit my 6.5in wrist perfectly, then again I mostly go for the design aesthetics first and statement of the watch then proportions.
Once again a cool release, and still don’t get all the hate Fossil gets from several watch influencers. Not everyone is looking for specs, and not everyone can afford higher end brands. So a jump hour from Fossil is a win in my books. Not to mention it’s being sold for around 300$ which to me is totally worth it for what you get.
