I don't know what this is called but wish it were more common

I have a few watches that have this cut out, but more that don't have it. As someone who prefers straps to bracelets I wish more companies would incorporate it into their cases.

I've not seen that before, is it to stop the leather rubbing against the case? I think using curved springbars achieves the same result.

I'm having a difficult time seeing what it is that you've mentioned. Do you have a link to the strap or a pick of just the strap?

The case is scalloped or has a cutout between the lugs that better allows for straps.

It's a feature of some cases to make strap changes easier - works better with NATO's too.

My kamasu had the same thing. Maybe it’s a Japanese thing? 🤔

Why do you wish it were more common? What benefits are there to having that? Honestly asking

Have you ever put a strap on a watch and found it was rubbing the case or was hard to put in because there wasn't room or had a strap pop off because there wasn't enough room? This solves that.

Same with my Seiko's that short lugs. Helps with the straps. Even Casio duro has the cutout.

There is a small one one the sinn 556. But yeah I saw that on seikos.

·

It also allows for a shorter lug to lug.

Sheesh, that is nice. The 124270 does the opposite! 😅
