Cape Cod polishing | How forgiving is it?

I've got a Cape Cod polishing kit coming in today to touch up some surface scuffs on the bezel of my SARB033.

How forgiving is this stuff? Any personal experience/insight appreciated.

I think its too aggressive. If you use it, have a very soft touch. I prefer Flitz. I apply a small dab and use my finger tip. I find that the safest way for the best results.

I had great results with one of their polishing cloths on my old TAG Microtimer (a renowned scratch magnet) don’t go anywhere near any brushed parts though!!!

Excellent stuff, just stay away from anything brushed 👍🏻

For polished surfaces no issues at all…

I highly recommend this stuff been using it for 20+ years and my watches are immaculate. The nice thing about this besides being a cleaner, it’s a polish with a light Caruba wax. If you do accidentally bump into something it tends to slide rather than gouge or ding. It’s cheap too anywhere From seven to $19 depending on who you order it from. You will be amazed with the results. Be sure to get the aerosol not the paste or liquid(pictured above). A little goes a long way. One can last a year, if not more. And I’ve got close to 100 Watches .

never heard of the stuff. Thanks for the tip!

Agree with many here, CC pads are great as long as you start slow and with even pressure. Have used on many Seikos and works like a charm as long as you stay away from brushing. I’ve used blue painters tape to isolate brushed areas which can help too.

Try Simichrome polish, I use it and I also use the cape cod cloth.

I tried it on my Alpinist, worked like a charm. More details in my post:
