Grail watch: Grand Seiko SBGX261
I’ve been so obsessed with the Grand Seiko SBGX261 that I am starting to think that it could have the potential to become my one-watch collection. Although I don't think such a thing would work for me.😅
This watch has made me forget for a while the Rolex OP and Rolex Explorer and made me consider taking my name down from the Rolex dealer waitlist.
Any thoughts from the people here who have the Grand Seiko SBGX261?
Is there someone around who is considering purchasing one?

My super biased $0.02 - a GS is way nicer watch than a Rolex.
Of course I’d recommend trying on several to double check you live in person. I’ve changed what I was planning to get a few times once seeing on wrist!

The craftsmanship. Finishing, completely in house, GS cannot be beaten at the price point,
Here my sbgx265 (blue dial version of the 261)
I love that watch so much I sold off a few big swiss brands as I just didn't wear them.
I also have another GS on the way

I can’t disagree with you. That being said, I like some Rolex because of their design, and their design only. It has nothing to do with the hype or status of the Rolex brand. Just a disclaimer to my own comments above.

I was fascinated when reading and learning more about this watch. GS even grow their own crystals to respond to their needs. That's insane.

I absolutely love this watch. If it had an on the fly adjustment clasp I might have considered it as my only watch. Steel Reef is coming out with its extension link for a few GS models soon so hopefully that includes this watch!
