While everyone was going crazy over the new moonswatch release, I decided to dabble into my first mechanical chronograph. It’s almost my grail watch at this point. It’s got a high beat 4hz movement. It’s the robust 8R48 movement which is built to last long and has stutter free movement. There’s a new bracelet designed specifically for the watch with a combination of brushes and polished elements. There’s zaratsu polishing and a dual curved sapphire crystal as well. Limited to a 1000 pieces globally- I’m happy to be an owner of one of it.

14.6mm ! Pretty thicc indeed
If I ever get chronograph again it will be this one.
A mechanical masterpiece. Very good choice 👌
Looks a big boy, this would look sick around the outside of a race suit
It looks kinda big. What are its dimensions?
Congrats on the great addition! I love what Seiko has been doing these past few years. That is a special one indeed, 1000 is very limited from Seiko.

14.6mm thick, 42mm diameter and 49.5mm lug-to-lug. But the new strap really drapes over the wrist amazingly well.

I feel the thickness is inline, IWC Pilots at 14.5mm, Tudor BB Chrono at 14.9mm, Omega SMP Chrono at 15++?
I'm actually 50/50 with these, I like the panda dial a little more but I also love the Limited Edition aspect of the reverse panda. I don't think you could go wrong with either however I feel the LE may be slightlymmore sought after a little later down the line if that matters.
Thanks, yeah it would have been a homerun if they remade that exactly.
