Most of the AliExpress brands I know have a few watches that are not direct homages. I am wearing an Addiesdive at the moment, that it an odd combination of a field watch (dial and hands) in a diver case. I am also sure that brands like Baltany sell their own style of watches.
Good question and at what point does someone say “Look, this watch has 3 hands, a date window, a screw down crown, and a rotating bezel it must be a homage to! (Fill in the blank). The only person that can dictate that a watch is a homage to another design is you. I keep it simple, watch and specs first, if marketing tells me it’s a homage to the watch Flipper wore in “My Friend Flipper” I don’t care.

Pindu has some interesting ones. Like this one for example https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mKoW6nk
Merkur does mostly original designs, as does Lobinni.
It depends a bit on the watch type - dive watches on Ali tend to be mostly homages, but I gather that's not just Ali.
