Question about the damage on this vintage Junghans

I am thinking about buying a vintage Junghans Trilastic as a not so expensive dress watch. The trilastic comes in many variations and ranges from about 150 to 400 Euros from what I gathered online.

This one right here I found on Ebay. The dial looks very nice imo, but the crown and also the case has some damages.

Can you tell me from the pictures what that is? The little holes on the crown look strange to me. And what is this on the backside, around the edges? Rust?

It looks like pitting which you find on plated cases. Old watches often had brass cases that were plated.

That is years of being wound by someone whose skin interacted with the plate and base metal. It is not a signed crown, so I might not get too protective about "originality".

Only you will notice it.

Yep… pitting - very common. I’d have bought that, no questions asked
