AquaTerra WorldTimer - The Forgotten Omega SeaMaster

Bought this beauty about a month ago and can’t believe there isn’t more talk/appreciation in the horological world for this gorgeous piece.  Awesome on bracelet, but even better on the rubber strap; the detail on the globe, overall finishing, and brilliant blue colors have made this a fast favorite in my collection.

Any other owners out there?

I don’t own it, but I looked at one at a boutique the other day. It’s stunning. Am I right that the central disc rotates for the time offset and the second time? (There isn’t a GMT “hand” but the time zone disc instead?)

The detail and feel of the watch is superb. Congratulations on it!

Have been looking at this piece and other world-timers more recently. That dial work is sensational!

Me (I got mine on a bracelet, cuz my plan was to get a strap w/ it later on the line) 😊

Imo this is the best valued worldtimer watch you can get (the stainless steel versions). It actually makes me happy when I see someone else got this watch.

We're the few ones man ☝️

I really enjoy wearing mine. looking at your picture, I think you may be right. It does look better on the rubber strap. Time to switch it up here. Cheers!

You got it, the disc turns and indicates the time corresponding to the cities printed on the outer (and inset) track.

I don’t own one but this is one of my favorit omega’s😍

Glad to se some love for this in the community.  Just can’t believe it’s not more hyped (and hard to get).  My AD threw in the strap when I bought it on the bracelet, so I wore it on the bracelet for a few weeks before switching to the strap.  Typically, I’m all about the steel bracelet, but this strap changed my mind.  Only downsides to this watch are the difficulty changing the strap and the process to set the date/time after it’s been in my watch case is a labor.

Superb.

Not one that I own, but they are nice. It’s one of those, “If you know, you know” kind of watches.

·

I love it!

I used to own it, but traded it in, because it never felt like it fit correctly on my wrist.  This is because a) I have a weirdly deformed wrist, and b) this was before I came to the stunning realization that you could switch out bracelets for straps!!!

Now that I have come to this Nobel-winning discovery about taking bracelets off and putting on straps, I greatly, greatly regret having traded it in.

I wish Omega would make the watch in full titanium.  I think if they did, the watch would fit better - be lighter - on my child-like and deformed wristlet.

In the meantime, you have the absolute most stunning worldtimer ever made.  I mean, only Omega have the R&D to do a fully laser-ablated titanium topographically-accurate world map!!!  It's incredible!

Great piece.

I have been looking at this as a potential next buy for a couple of months and visiting my AD in the next couple of weeks (lining up a couple of other models specifically the Santos Blue and Polaris).  My only concern is size, my wrist is ~7 inches and finding 40-42 mm probably more appropriate. Same issue I want to check with Santos Blue.

I called the SWATCHGROUP headquarters in Secaucus NJ to price out that beautiful rubber strap. It turns out it's sold in thee pieces. The strap, those cool end links and the clasp. It all added up to the same price as the whole steel bracelet about $700. The leather with clasp is no different. That is a real beauty my friend and not alot talked about just like my 231.13.43.52.03.001

Congrats! It's definitely in the very top of my collection. Not sure if you got it on Bracelet or Strap (AD threw in both for me) - but try it on the rubber strap - so comfortable and really compliments the dial blue.

I got it on the rubber strap, never been a massive fan of bracelets at all, I normally take bracelets off and replace them with a nice NATO 😁 The rubber Strap is great :)
