Yep. I think I have seven different models from the past 25 years using that case making process, with hollow lugs in varying looks...
As a noob here, I had the same confusion.
I even remarked that I was surprised Mentor Ohio based Lüm-Tec had TWO listings but my largest represented brand, Nautica, wasn't given the time of day. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🥴

Ok, since I don't really have any watch hang ups, I'm going to just contribute a comment on what most drives me crazy (ranging from mildly annoyed to full tilt angry sometimes) is actually related to WATCH OWNERS...
WHY the heck do small wristed watch buyers think it's OK to buy a new watch on the bracelet and then Sell it within a year WITH MISSING LINKS !?!?!
What's wrong with these humans???
NO aspects of watches bother me as much as this trait of some small wrist guys...

Here's four watches with approx 41mm bezels...BUT
The Swatch Chrono - L2L = 47.8mm
Lunar Pilot L2L = 52.1mm
Nautica Spettacolare L2L = 52.8mm
Lüm-Tec G8 L2L = 56.9mm
The key is the distance between the spring pin holes..
Swatch - 42.6mm
Lunar Pilot - 46.6mm
Nautica - 47.7mm
Lüm-Tec - 52.6mm
I think all look great on my 195mm wrist, just over 7.5"...
I think the distance between spring pin pivot points is the real issue, and what I observe about the BLP is that a) the lugs don't really 'wrap' downward against the wrist, plus b) the spring pin holes are drilled 'high' and not low on the lugs...
