Seiko's "New" Link Removal System

My Dad bought a Seiko this past week and said he needed some links out of the bracelet, and that there was a tool in the box. "Really?!" I thought, "That sounds different?!"

So I went over to his place and discovered Seiko's "new" link removal system which, from the video below, is AT LEAST four years old, but I've literally never come across it before.

Goodbye pins and collars, hello springs and pins. It was 10 times easier than any of the Seiko bracelets I've worked on in the past - and as a Seiko fanboy, that's been quite a few.

Have you used this "new" system? What did you think?
