Raymond Weil on new strap

Received this watch as a graduation gift over a decade ago and honestly haven’t worn it a whole lot even though it holds a ton of sentimental value. The brand doesn’t get talked about much and the original band is a bit too dressy. It’s interesting how a different strap dresses this down and brings life into a watch that maybe gets worn a few times a year.

Any of you have a similar watch story? Gonna give this RW more wrist time in 2024 for sure.

Yeah it’s the same with me and my Certina that I got as a 30th birthday present from my wife 10 years ago.

It’s a great watch, and I’d also like to wear it more, but my hand keeps reaching for my newer watches like my RW.

Very cool timepiece! My first "nice" watch was also a Raymond Weil quartz Tradition, much like this one. I wish I had held on to it, as it marked a special time in my life....my first time playing in a truly extraordinary orchestra, my first time living in Europe, etc. But it was quite small by the standards at the time I eBayed it, while at the same time my attentions started turning to mechanical watches when I stumbled into Tourneau in Las Vegas. Those painters hands and traditional numbering make this a timeless watch, so I'm happy you found a strap which will make it more versatile and give you greater amount of wrist joy time. Whoever gifted it to you knew what they were doing!
