A Japanese brand you've probably never heard of Minase
I came across this brand at the recent Wind Uo Watch Fair here
San Francisco and they really left an impression on me. Have you heard of Minase? Let me know what you all think about this Japanese watch brand.

I've admired the craftsmanship of Minase from afar for awhile but have never had the chance to see one in person. I can't say that I love their design language, but I am intrigued by it. They seem to have a cult following! Curious if they will see more explosive growth in the next few years!
I saw then at Wind Up Watch Fair Chicago and their watches are beautiful but pricey.

I agree! Their design language is not for everyone as it is very brutal, but after being around so many traditional watch case designs, it is quite refreshing to see something different coming from a Japanese brand who traditionally cater towards a more conservative approach. I'm hoping they get a bit more recognition to be able to develop maybe their own caliber. That'll be fun!
Saw them at WindUp also. Table was crowded both Friday and Saturday that weekend. Amazing pieces!
Microbrands are just killing it. Think I'll not buy a mainstream brand unless for investment purposes. The micros are just perfect. Thank you for sharing on Minase.
Good Looking watch, what type of movement are they using, did i miss that on your video? I think the reason why most folks don't know them too well is because i think of their price and too exclusive imo...I prefer Baltics, Farer and even Studio Underdogs designs...I can't but feel pretentiousness about Minase's design...AlSo i dont think it compares to GS just my 2 cents...
I really like that watch. It’s different but looks great.
