How many years will my solar battery last?
If you have owned a solar powered quartz and the battery died, how many years did it last? My Eco-drive is about 25 years old and its still going (although it has never kept good time when out of the sun for more than a few days).
Edit: I realized just after posting this that there will be a bias toward earlier battery death reporting since more people will have owned solar watches for a shorter period of time. In light of that, and the regression data needed to translate these poll numbers that I am not asking you for, realize this poll is ahem not scientific -- cough.)

I’m at twenty, and rezeroing the hands makes it shift to charge mode. Which is probably only two weeks charge. Need to give it a proper sunbathe, but look into getting a new cell. (Ecodrive)
I’m glad you’ve had such success with yours. I owned two in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Each of them failed a year or two outside of warranty (so 6 or 7 years). I don’t know what it’s like now, (or maybe they were trying to sell me a new watch), but I was told at the time the service costs would be more than the watch. I haven’t owned one since.
Multiple Eco drives and no failures. My wife's Eco drive gave us some trouble but very small face and she doesn't wear or charge it regularly, so chalk that up to user error.
