This is a recent refurbishing project that started with an extremely worn out and scratched up Casio G-Shock that I picked up at the local flea market. It was dirty and the bezel and straps were missing. So, I gave it a good cleaning and then polished out the scratches on the mineral crystal. Next, I replaced the battery and put in a freshly greased rubber gasket. Finally, I had a some fun with a glow-in-dark bezel and straps. ๐ค
One take away for me on this project was that removing scratches on mineral crystal is easier said than done without professional tools. I'm just a hobbyist. So next time I have another project like this, I'll opt to just replace the crystal. ๐
All in all, I enjoyed the journey and I'm glad to give this neglected watch a second life.

Thatโs crazy! I had a yellow G-Shock in the late 80โs and I thought that was bright. I like it. Cool project.
Looks great! Nice picture.

Awesome! I have a yellow g-shock restoration project on the way from Japan. I'll post about it once I find the time to work on it.

Thanks.
Sounds like a fun mod, where did you get the bezel and strap?

I found it on eBay. I believe it was custom made by the seller. I can't seem to find him or his listings, but as soon as I find them I'll post it about it.

Alright, I'll try to look one myself too. Thanks a bunch
Cool project thanks for sharing. That glow in the dark case reminds me of toys I used to have as a kid 30 plus years ago!
