Rolex DJ 36 > 41…Right?!
For some reason I can only do the Datejust in 36mm with a fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. The dial can vary (although this Wimbledon dial is nice!), but any other configuration just looks off to me. The 41mm looks really big imo and I have 7.25 inch wrists! The oyster bracelet’s polished center links are too shiny for me and c’mon…you gotta have a fluted bezel 😎 Anyone else think the same? Also, any Jiraiya fans in the house?!

I have a 41 Datejust with a jubilee bracelet and I think the jubilee looks a lot shinier and flashy compared to the oyster bracelet 😅
I agree, but not because of the size. In this case, for me, its about the proportions of the 41. When you have something special as in the DJ36 (or anything, really) making it bigger is not always best.
In fact, simply making it bigger is lazy and show lack of thought and a money grab (Just like ghostbusters II, etc, etc) Yes, I know companies want to make money but that is a different conversation.
I am not a designer, but I know when something is off, and DJ41 is like a modern artist trying to improve on Van Gogh or Michelangelo

yea, something about the proportions are slightly odd to me on the 41. The 36 just looks so right!

I guess the larger polished surface area on the oyster looks off to me. It also always looks really scratched up when I see people wearing them. The jubilee hides scratches well. I’m doing a terrible job of explaining this 😅

36 is THE choice. If you had to decide between 36 and 39 it would be harder. But 41?! Man, that is not a well proportioned size, the bezel is much to wide!

Ugh you are right, the 36mm is the real flagship and I think even Rolex knows it, you cannot get the Green Palm dial on the 41mm :)
Unfortunately the 36mm looked like a toy on my wrist so I had to go for the 41mm.
Very nice watch! Agree with Nikola, the Rolex knows that 36 mm is one of the best diameters. It fits to almost everyone and it does not have to be a woman watch. Rolex Explorer is the example !!
36 fluted and jubilee definitely. That’s the one I have and wanted : historical, elegant, versatile. In one word, perfect.
Sorry, a DJ36 looks like a toy on my wrist. I go with 41 wich is a 39,7.

Taking wrist size and subjectivity out of the equation, I feel the space on the 41 just looks off, and the bezel is just thicker to take up room. I feel they could have done a better job on it.
