Two female friends yesterday called this watch too old and ugly. One of them asked why I didn’t get a better looking watch. When I asked what’s a better looking watch, she searched using her phone for a picture of a Panerai. I told her I’ll stick with the ugly.

Lol, a Panerai? I guess there's really no accounting for taste.

LOL, neophyte!

She’s a lifelong friend whose taste leans more towards grunge. The other one, also a lifelong friend, is a fitness buff who loves her Apple watch. I have illusions that they would “get” the Reverso.

Nah, they’re not the refined watches type.

Hehe, show them a DW and for sure they will drool over it and say its awesome.😛

My niece wanted a proper watch and hates the Apple watch. So, when she listened to my advice, she was amazed and grateful for getting what I recommended...

Id agree with you, stick with the “ugly”, beauty is subjective and this piece is pure beauty 🤩

·

I disagree with them, that is a very classy and good looking piece

They’re muggles. I love them to pieces but they don’t know anything. I trust them with my life but not with my wrist

While I do think the Reverso is timeless, it’s also not of this time. I get what they’re saying even if I disagree with them. Still love those two and they have the right to poke fun at me as I do them.

That is such a great looking watch on a very feminine wrist.

Totally agree, pare. She actually wanted a two-tone rose gold watch, with some kind of stone or jewel as accents, and was looking at a Seiko Presage. However, the Presage model was slightly bigger in diameter, and was quartz, and more expensive. That's why I recommended this great looking Orient. She fell in love.

This is a timeless masterpiece Brother. You are a better man than me. I would've called them old and ugly

Hope you clarified to her though that it was made by Panerai and every other watchmaker’s watchmaker?
