First ever SOTC

After residing in a drawer the past several years as they've accumulated I've finally decided to get a proper, albeit cheap, storage box. While I feel I have most of my bases covered with these pieces, I've resolved to approach collecting in a more mindful way in the coming years instead of just hoarding inexpensive things that tickle my fancy. To that end, here is how we're starting out.

Top-bottom, left-to-right:

Casio F-91W, Casio A168, Casio Duro, Casio MRW200H, Casio MTP-SW300

Timex Weekender, Timex Expedition Field Chronograph, Timex MK1 Chronograph, Seiko SNDC81, Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38

Currently a couple of tweaks in the works.

The silver dial Casio has been serving the role of dress piece the last couple years but I've come to realize it's got too many sporty elements to it to do that job to my liking. I've ordered another very similar cheap Casio to replace it, but with a much cleaner, more formal dial. I'm going to swap the black leather strap onto it when it arrives, and put the metal bracelet the new one comes with onto this one here. So I'll have a formal dress and a sport dress covered for now until they get upgraded down the line sometime.

Got some different NATOs on the way from Crown & Buckle - not a huge fan of the adjustable Chevron strap on it now, which I bought on recommendation from a friend. Not a bad strap but doesn't suit my large wrists (7.75 in.) well. Should have read the product page on the Chevron to realize my wrist size would be pushing it.

I think the first piece on the docket for an upgrade swap is the Weekender. It was my first watch I picked up back when I started getting curious about watches several years ago. While it will always hold a special place in my heart for that, it rarely gets worn anymore. It filled the role initially as everyday casual, but the Hamilton took that over last year. The Hammy is a field style dial though so I want a clean dial casual duz-all to replace the Weekender. Maybe also add a Day-Date. Will probably go with an old reliable Seiko 5 to do this. After that it's probably the Expedition getting an upgrade in the Flieger style slot.
