Random Fun Watch Encounter
Okay - so this is probably something small and silly, but it brought me a little of joy and I feel like you fine folks might appreciate.
I never wear watches to flex on anyone - for me it's a purely intimate hobby for me, myself, and I. If in the future, my son decides he wants to get into it, I would love to walk him through it. But for now, it's something for just me.
That being said, I've gotten in the habit of glancing at people's wrist to see what other's tastes are and while I was traveling yesterday, I saw a countless smartwatches, and a handful or traditional watches. The encounter I had was when I was looking at people wrists as they were walking past me to their seats on the flight, I saw a brother wearing a Rolex, and I may have lingered a few moments longer trying to see what model it was and he obviously noticed me and saw the Monta on my wrist and said, "nice watch!" as he walked past. It was a small, second-long interaction, but it made me smile and was glad that people out there can, in fact, be pleasant.
